India launched World's Cheapest tablet -Aakash

Aakash’ is the cheapest tablet in the world!

It comes with a 7” resistive touch screen & runs on Android 2.2.

Powered by 366MHz + HD video co-processer.

Aakash has an in-built Wifi & 3g support.

The device comes with a 2GB storage memory, which can be extended up to 32GB.

With 256MB RAM, Aakash seems to be like a new ray of light to reach education in rural India.

Although it doesn't have GPRS which is seen as its shortcoming in addition to resistive touch.

There are 2 versions of the tablet:

- Aakash- Rs. 1200/- (student)

- Ubislate- Rs. 2999/- (commercial)
